A paper by Lars Öbrand, Jonny Holmström & Mike Newman entitled ”Navigating Rumsfeld’s quadrants: A performative perspective on IT risk management” have been published in Technology in Society. It is currently in press but available online from September 29th. Analyzing how risk emerged and risk management practices were performed in a process industry setting, the paper extends current theorizing on risk within IS by complementing extant approaches to risk management with a performative perspective which explains the use and limitations of conventional risk management approaches.
