On April 25th (13.00-), Professor Omar El Sawy will discuss ongoing work on the real-time management in digital platform ecosystems. The seminar is part of the SCDI Wallenberg Seminar series, and will be conducted in a hybrid mode at SCDI Gothenburg.
Omar El Sawy is the Kenneth King Stonier Chair in Business Administration & Professor of Information Systems in the Data Sciences and Operations Department at the Marshall School of Business, University of Southern California. His current interests are in digital business strategy in messy environments, real-time management, and digital platform business models. He holds a Ph.D. from Stanford Business School, an MBA from the American University in Cairo, and a BSEE from Cairo University. He has served as Director of Research for USC Marshall’s Institute for Communications Technology Management (CTM). He is a seven-time winner of the Society for Information Management’s Annual Paper Award, most recently in 2015. Omar is an AIS Fellow since 2008.
