Tomas Lindroth is an Assistant Professor at the department of Applied IT, University of Gothenburg where he received his Ph.d. in 2015. Dr Lindroth was at the time working at University West, Trollhättan, at the department of Economics and IT. Dr. Lindroth is devoted to innovation in digital ecosystems. His research is focused on the design process and the governances of digital innovation in the public sector. He favors a perspective of digital infrastructures and how they can become a lever of innovation processes that help digital solutions scale and become part of regular healthcare operations. During the last twenty years he has been involved in several design-oriented research projects with a focus on the public sector. He has been a major contributor to smart city platforms, apps for food delivery in elderly care, as well as early examples of online exhibitions and digital tourism experiences. The most recent projects focus on the digitalization of cancer care with a focus on digital pain management as well as cancer rehabilitation. Both projects are conducted in close collaboration with the nursing as well as clinical sciences. Dr. Lindroth have published across a range of different disciplines. His work has been published in the fields of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer-Supported Collaborative Work (CSCW), Learning and IT, Health Informatics as well as Information Systems (IS). in journals such as The journal of Computers and Education, The CSCW Journal and Health Informatics Journal.
