INITIATIVES AND PROJECTS


To cater to shifting opportunities and requests from society, SCDI organizes part of its operations into strategic initiatives. At present, the following initiatives are active.

BlockchainLab

BLAB is an initiative to cater to the growing interest surrounding blockchain technology. The lab is directed by Juho Lindman and involves both industry-, researcher- and student collaboration. For further information, please visit www.scdi.se/blockchain.

Digital Government Research Consortium

DGRC is an initiative for accelerated digitalization of the public sector. The consortium involves collaboration between universities and public sector organizations on the basis of a tool mor measuring digital maturity. For further information, please visit www.digitalforvaltning.se.

Analytics Lab

The SCDI Analytics Lab is designed to meet the needs from both research and practice in regards to analytical capabilities. Through working with an array of computational methods, the lab increases SCDIs offering and increases the quality of research. For further information, please visit www.scdi.se/analytics

Executive Doctoral Program

With a dire need for digital transformation, the public sector is currently ramping up their activities. Part of this is the participation of 12 public sector executives in SCDIs doctoral school.  www.scdi.se/government

AI Business Lab

Artificial intelligence offers magnificent opportunities to business. As part in meeting the need for exploration, SCDIs AI Business Lab is a place where businesses can work with researchers on practical AI issues. www.scdi.se/AI

Frontiers in digital innovation

The Frontiers course is SCDIs joint PhD course intended for late-phase PhD students interested in digital innovation. The course involves both off- and on-site activities, with the on-site being located at Riksgränsen ski resort. www.scdi.se/frontiers
